I hope it was fully loaded and careening along at 80+ if that's the best mileage it got.

That's not super impressive.

Is that average for them?

Heavy foot, lots of weight, tons of hills, low octane fuel, gearing?

I easily get over 30mpg highway with my turbo Cobalt.

How fast were you going? I struggle to get 27mpg in my ST at anything over like 60mph.

That seems about what id expect. My sonic gets about 29 doing 75

hmmm you've only got like 1000 more miles on yours than I do. Maybe it'll get better. Or maybe there was some sort of software upgrade for the '14s...
